About Hayley

Hi, I’m Hayley. A female driving instructor in my 50’s. I currently have an AUTOMATIC Mini and am passionate about road safety as well as sharing in the endless enjoyment, feel of freedom and ace achievement which learning to drive brings my students.

My previous career, flying as cabin crew for British Airways for almost 27 years, ensuring people felt both safe and happy, gave me an ideal platform to qualify in my Driving Instructor career.

I passed my own driving test at the age of 17 and have loved driving ever since, offering to be the designated driver on countless occasions. My own instructor was amazing and her way of driving has stayed with me for life, so I knew qualifying as an instructor myself would give me a similar satisfaction as my flying career gave. There was nothing better than helping a passenger overcome their fear and there is equally nothing better than seeing a student work through their initial anxiety to pure enjoyment being behind the wheel.

I was trained using the latest adult coaching and training techniques so you can be assured the training I give is of the highest standard. Everyone is different and the system I use allows for flexibility in lessons so that you learn to drive safely at a rate that suits you. Every lesson with me will be enjoyable and productive and I shape your lessons to suit your specific needs.

I am friendly, competent, trustworthy, responsible and settled. Lessons are always conducted in a calm, friendly and relaxed manner as I firmly believe in making students feel at ease, which in turn increases learning.
